About the farm-
Established in 1967, with 24 members, the cooperative is located in Acatenango department of Chimaltenango in the slopes of the Acatenango volcano, the third highest volcano in Central América. Over the years the cooperative has grown to 291 active members and now holds C.A.F.E. Practices certification and is UTZ Certified.
With suitable weather conditions and the crop growing at an altitude from 4,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level, results in an excellent quality coffee which has achieved many rewards.
Four generations have been working with coffee in the Acatenango area mainly in the cooperative.
